Melodex is a mobile application that allows users to record audio, organize recordings, create guitar chord charts, add notes, and search audio tracks. This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when using the app.

Melodex is designed to minimize data collection.
- Audio recordings, notes, and chord charts created by you within the app.
- Email address and basic account information only if you choose to create an account for backup purposes.
We do not collect analytics data, advertising identifiers, location data, or tracking information.
App Permissions
Melodex requests access to the following permissions:
- Microphone: Required to record audio clips.
- Device Storage: Required to save and manage audio recordings locally on your device.
These permissions are used solely for the core functionality of the app.
Data Storage
All recordings, notes, and chord charts are stored locally on your device by default. Melodex does not automatically upload your content to external servers.
Optional Accounts & Cloud Backup
Creating an account is optional. If you choose to create an account, your data may be securely backed up to the cloud so you can restore it if you reinstall the app or change devices.
Cloud data is used only for backup and restoration purposes.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Your content remains private unless you choose to export or share it yourself.
Data Deletion
You may delete your recordings, notes, and account at any time by clicking the "Delete Account" option in the app's settings. Learn more about account deletion. Deleting your account will permanently remove your email address and any cloud backup data. Local data stored on your device must be manually removed by uninstalling the app.
